My second xylophone (▰˘◡˘▰)

                  My first xylophone was unsuccessful, this time is much better. 

                My teacher said that i can put the metal so how the pieces of wood are separate, however i feel that my wood xylophone had some mistake affect the sound. When making the wood xylophone, I was used the wood what my dad found at the house....I have to make it with kind of better wood as Honduran Rosewood, Cardinal wood, or purpleheart hardwood to produce better sound, this called lack of research. ⊙▃⊙


            Start making my instrument again, now is the copper xylophone.
Equipment

•   2 meters of copper pipe

•   a ruler

•  a black maker     

•  2 plastic straws     

•  2-1/2 hard wood thick for the bases

•  a saw      

•  a drill

• string to mount tube- i was using wire

                At first, i want to make a T'rung, a traditional bamboo xylophone what representing for the music of the highland minorities Vietnam with the special sound feel like the sound of murmuring streams, waterfall sound, rustling tubers,

  however I couldn't find where they're selling bamboo ಥ_ಥ. The sound of xylophone still attracts me to make it. I'm making the wood xylophone. With the equipment was 8 pieces of 3/2'' wide, 1/2'' thick and the lengths were the smallest piece was 10'' bigger to the biggest piece was 15''.

                            When i finished, i realize it doesn't sound good at all, the sound was soft. Bring it to class, Mr. Tillay said i need a piece of metal or something separate them for when the stick hit the bar, the vibrating moving through the bar and produce the sound, not continue go to another wood make the sound lower....Okay, i made it wrong. ಥ_ಥ 

Songs of the band

          The Battle of the Bands Project request the each band use their instrument to plays "Jingle Bells". Reindeers (my band name) also decided to play another song is "Twinkle twinkle little star".

Get ready for the Battle!!!

Battle of the Bands is the Musical Instrument Semester Project for my  Fiziks (Physics) class. ٩(^‿^)۶         We have to make our own instrument and select a band with a maximum of 4 people. Me (Vy), Norma, and Veronica created a band named Reindeers.

Norma is the band leader so she is the big one on the left, the tall one on the right is me because I’m taller than Veronica ◔◡◔, and she is the one at the middle.

                         The instrument i decide to make is the xylophone. 

                         The xylophone is a musical percussion instrument  made out of a series of bars or tubes that are struck with a mallet. The longer the bar, the lower the note will be. To make a sound on the xylophone the player must strike a bar with a mallet, a soft mallet a more muted sound is produced. The key then shoot out the vibration to the pipe below after a stroke and the vibration is altered according to the size and the thickness. Finally the vibration is passed to resonate in the pipes to create the sound.
